Video-making, photograph competition ‘Pakiography 2012 an Illustration of Pakistan’ held at F-9 park


ISLAMABAD: A video-making and photograph competition ‘Pakiography 2012 an Illustration of Pakistan’ was held at the F-9 park on Saturday.
The event is a flagship event of Sha’oor – The Society that wishes to promote patriotism among the youth through photography and short films.
The event showcased the works of young creative photographers and video makers.
A cash prize of Rs 110,000 was also awarded to the best two photographs and videos.
The judge’s panel comprised Jamal Shah,Muhammad, Azhar
Hafiz, Awais Yaqoob, Mobeen Ansari, Ehtsham Haq and Danial Shah.
Singers and young artists also gave special performances at the event.
Addressing the event, Sha’oor President Syed Ali Hameed said “Pakiograph was not just an event but an initiative for the betterment of our nation and society.”
He said the event was not just a mere display of photographs and videos but rather a glimpse of patriotism and optimism that exists among the youth.
The event was attended by Dr Ijaz Malik, Air University Vice Chancellor Brig Iqbal Shafi, Sir Syed Memorial Chairman Dr Ijaz Shafi Gilani, Gallop Chairman Jamal Shah and around 500 other guests.Sha’oor – The Society is an independent welfare society working for social, moral and academic awareness in Pakistan.
